Why So Many People Are Not Wealthy

Image result for Top Benefits of Using a Financial PlannerIn the world of money there are two classes of people: Those who look rich and those who are rich. Many people belong to the first group. They look rich; drive good cars and live in big houses, yet they are financially bankrupt.
Your goal and focus is to be one of those people who are truly rich, rather than those who spend a lot of money but have very little in the bank.

You have to make getting truly rich a priority in your life — and be willing to focus the majority of your time and energy on doing what it takes to build real wealth.
People spend in error seeking respect and honour from men. Their goal and sole focus is to “show” to people around them that they’ve “arrived” financially. Trying to deceive others they end up in financial illusion and delusion.
Truly, empty barrels make the loudest noise.
“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” John 5:44
“Jesus said, I receive not honour from men.” John 5:41.
Living to impress others will put a man perpetually under financial oppression. This understanding is needful if a man would fulfill his financial destiny.
FINANCIAL INTELLIGENCE IS A KEY
A person can be highly educated, professionally successful and financially illiterate.
What is missing from their education is not how to make money, but how to spend money-what to do after they make it.
It’s called financial intelligence-what you do with the money once you make it, how to keep people from taking it from you, how long you keep it, and how hard that money works for you.
Financially, with every dollar/naira we lay our hands on; we hold the power to choose our future to either be rich or poor.
Our spending habits reflect who we are. Poor people simply have poor spending habits. One major difference between the rich and the poor is that the poor spend money while the rich invest money.
A wise man once said, “A man’s wealth is not in the money he carries in his purse; it is the income he builds, the golden stream that continually flows into his purse and keeps it always bulging.”
That is what every man desires. That is what you truly want; an income that continues to come whether you work or travel.
WEALTH, LIKE A TREE, GROWS FROM A TINY SEED.
Most people cannot tell why they struggle financially because they don’t understand cash flow management.
To succeed financially you must first learn to live upon less than you earn.
Every month, most people pay everyone else first and pay themselves last, if they have anything left over.
Hence, most people violate the golden rule of personal finance, which is “pay yourself first”
CASH FLOW MANAGEMENT IS A KEY
What we all refer to as our necessary expenses will always grow to equal our incomes unless we protest to the contrary. – Parkinson’s Law
Financial independence comes from violating Parkinson’s Law. It is only when you build financial discipline to resist the powerful urge to spend everything you make that you begin to accumulate wealth and move ahead financially.
If you allow your expenses to increase at a slower rate than your income, and you save or invest the difference, you will become financially independent in your working lifetime.
Financial freedom will become your reality, if you will effectively control and manage your increasing earnings and the increasing costs of your lifestyle, and then save and invest the difference.
In the final analysis, to excel in the world of money, you must always remember that it’s not how much you make, but how much you keep, that determines your financial future.
Picking the brain of one of the richest people that ever walked on the planet earth by name Solomon:
“There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.” Pro 21:20
“Wise people live in wealth and luxury, but stupid people spend their money as fast as they get it.” Pro 21:20
“Human desires are like the world of the dead-there is always room for more.” Pro 27:20 GNB
“He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.” Pro 21:17
Take control of your cash flow, if you do not, making more money will not make you rich.
The primary reason most people have money problems is they were never schooled in the science of cash flow management.
CHANGE YOURSELF FROM A SPENDER TO A WEALTH BUILDER
Ultimately, it is not how much money you make that matters, but how much money you keep and how long that money works for you
One major obstacle standing between a lot of people and their financial destiny is their spending habit and lifestyle.
“You’re addicted to thrills? What an empty life! The pursuit of pleasure is never satisfied.” Pro 21:17 MSG
“Indulging in luxuries, wine, and rich food will never make you wealthy.” Pro 21:17 GNB
“He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.” Pro 21:17 KJV
